Every child is like a garden—growing in their own time, with their own rhythm, shaped by both what is within and what surrounds them. Inspired by Virginia Satir’s belief that “children are like flowers—they’re born with what they need to blossom,” my work honors the unique makeup of each young person while tending to the environment they grow in.
I offer a warm and steady space where kids and teens can feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen their sense of self. Whether they are facing anxiety, behavioral challenges, school stress, developmental differences, or big life transitions, I meet them with empathy and curiosity—seeing each child as more than a diagnosis or behavior.
With a degree in early childhood development and decades of hands-on experience, I’ve worked closely with children navigating ADHD, autism, OCD, developmental delays, oppositional defiance, Tourette’s, cerebral palsy, reactive attachment disorder, adoption, and complex family systems. I understand the challenges that families face—and the deep hope they carry.
Sessions are personalized and developmentally appropriate, often using play, story-based processing, art, and simple mindfulness strategies. When needed, I offer side-by-side coaching for parents rooted in attachment principles. This helps caregivers better understand what’s happening beneath the behavior, reduce reactivity, and build more connected relationships at home. Home visits may also be available in certain cases, when the child’s needs or family circumstances make in-office therapy more difficult.
